Aplington council welcomes new hires

At the Aplington Council Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8, reports were received from city department heads, and it was mentioned that Brenda Huisman has been hired as utility clerk and Crissa Brouwer as city custodian.

Matt Mahoney and Sandi Miller of Butler County REC thanked the city for their patronage and continued working relationship, as the REC provides the city with power.

“We appreciate the relationship we have with the city of Aplington, and look forward to many more great years together. We’re always available, if you have any issues, reach out, and we’ll help out in any way we can…” Mahoney said. “Thank you for your business. We appreciate having you as one of our members.”
