Bodden, Groen crowned A-P homecoming royalty

Aplington- Parkersburg seniors Junior Bodden and Avery Groen were crowned the 2018 homecoming king and queen, respectively, during Thursday night’s coronation at the high school auditorium in Parkersburg.

Bodden, a second-year foreign exchange student from the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras, is the son of Sarah Yolanda Bodden Zuniga and is being hosted by Aaron and Ellie Thomas. He hit the field for the Falcon football team on Friday night and also participates in basketball and track and field.

Groen, the daughter of John and Leslie Groen, is the current student body president and participates in cross-country, track, fall musical, SADD, A-P honor society, book club, speech and choir. Junior escorts River Wygle and Lindi Jorgenson presented Bodden and Groen with their crowns.
