Butler County Fair draws crowds

Ask fairgoers what they enjoyed most about the Butler County fair, and you’ll get a variety of answers: showing animals, watching Scrambles, the Night of Destruction, or just spending time with their kids. But the best part of the fair may not even be the great events.

Her mom, Emily, was quick to agree. Seeing people whom they don’t see often is a lot of fun. Before the fair, one of the regulars at the Falcon’s Nest in Parkersburg commented that there were sure to be at least two storms during fair week.

And sure enough, two nights of entertainment, the Night of Destruction and the Figure 8 Races, had to be rescheduled due to wet weather.
