Butler County infrastructure improvement plans become clearer

An Urban Renewal Plan in Butler County has moved closer to a reality.

The Butler County Board of Supervisors last Tuesday passed a number of resolutions for the plan that would improve roads and bridges near some of the county’s biggest industries.

The first matter of business the Supervisors approved was updating the Urban Renewal Plan. Additions to the plan included two bridge improvement projects on T55 near the Unverferth Manufacturing plant, as well as shouldering projects on C55, T55 near the ethanol plant and Wrangler Road, which serves as a service entrance for the Menards distribution center at Shell Rock.

The next was to adopt a resolution that outlines the projects of the Urban Renewal Plan and the benefits it would provide to the industries in the county, the county itself and its citizens.
