D-NH Robotics Club hosts STEM Camp for local youngsters

Students of the Dike- New Hartford High School Robotics Club are setting out to show younger students how cool science, technology, engineering and math can really be.

On Wednesday of last week, the club hosted a fun and interactive STEM Camp to get younger students involved with and interested in STEM. The STEM camp was planned and orchestrated by Robotics Club students, with a little help from Robotics Club Coaches Joanna Seymour and Chelsie Slaba.

Over 120 D-NH students from grades 2 through 5 gathered at the high school for the after-school camp. Once there, students were split into groups, where they participated in several different STEM sessions, including: a virtual reality sandbox building session, a $100 word challenge session, build your own slime session, an escape session, paper roller coaster building session and an ozobot programming session.
