D-NH volleyball defeats A-P, Hudson (PHOTOS)

DIKE – Diane Harms hopes this is the beginning of a new standard for this season's young Dike-New Hartford volleyball.

The D-NH head coach has seen inconsistent levels of play from the fourth-ranked (3A) Wolverines thus far this fall, but they looked impressive in straight-set victories against Aplington-Parkersburg and ninth-ranked (2A) Hudson at Dike-New Hartford High School on Tuesday.

D-NH defeated A-P 25-13, 25-15, 25-7 and swept the Pirates 25-23, 25-22, 25-23. Hudson defeated A-P 25-19, 25-14, 25-16. The Wolverines improved to 17-7 overall and 4-0 in the NICL East.

"We knew that we were capable of keeping a high level of play," Harms said. "We've just been all over the place this season. Hopefully this is the turning point where we can keep playing at this level and improve."
