D-NH's Weber named NICL East volleyball's top player

Dike-New Hartford senior Morgan Weber was recognized as the NICL East Player of the Year in All-NICL East volleyball teams released last week.

  

Weber, a Wichita State commit, averaged 6.2 kills and 6.6 digs per set in eight league matches for the Wolverines this fall. She added 17 ace serves with a 91 percent serving efficiency and 14 total blocks.

  

Wolverines head coach Diane Harms was recognized as Coach of the Year. D-NH went undefeated in the NICL East, league champions for a third-consecutive season.

  

Lexie Fager earned first-team All-NICL East recognition alongside Weber. The Wolverines' sophomore libero averaged 5.84 digs per set and served at a 90.6 percent efficiency with two aces.

  

D-NH junior Jenna Joslin was a second-team selection. Joslin struck 2.72 kills per set in division play, adding 1.6 digs and 54-of-56 serving with four aces.

 

Aplington-Parkersburg senior Jaycie Ellis and Dike-New Hartford senior Jill Eilderts were both honorable mention. Ellis had 66 kills, eight ace serves on 76-of-81 serving along with 49 digs and nine blocks as the Falcons' only senior. Eilderts had 21 kills, 31 digs, 12 blocks and was 108-of-114 serving with five aces in eight division matches.
