Falcons come up short against Trojans, Knights

PARKERSBURG, LA PORTE CITY – The Aplington-Parkersburg volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by West Marshall and Union last week in games at Parkersburg and La Porte City on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

A-P (3-5, 0-1) continued NICL East competition against Wapsie Valley in Parkersburg on Tuesday and will host its home tournament on Saturday.

Jenna Bruns led the Falcons with 10 kills against West Marshall and added eight digs and two blocks. Sarah Gaul led the team with 10 assists and Canon DeGroote had a team-high 18 digs.
