Fall Frenzy makes a splash

Th i s year’s Fall Frenzy craft show Saturday at the Veteran’s Memorial Building was about more than just some early Christmas shopping. It was also a fundraiser, with proceeds from vendor fees, the freewill donation dinner and breakfast and the bake sale going toward a new splash pad for Parkersburg. (The first fundraiser for the splash pad was held this summer at Parkersburg Days.)

The craft show featured local businesses, home-based businesses, local artisans and others. There were all types of products available: art and décor items, pottery, makeup, jewelry, weight loss products, Tupperware, essential oils, homemade soaps, bath salts, teas, baked goods, homemade cheeses, jellies, organic foods, pillows, baby items and much more.

Vendors came from Parkersburg, Aplington, Ackley, Allison, Cedar Falls, Denver and as far away as Vinton.

“I’m here to support the local splash pad,” said local vendor Loretta Clemons.
