Kroeze to serve as Butler County zoning administrator

As of March 27, Butler County’s Environmental Health Specialist Misty Kroeze has taken on additional responsibilities as zoning administrator. This shift in responsibilities comes as Butler County EMA Coordinator Mitch Nordmeyer, who previously served as zoning administrator, has resigned.

“I think she’ll do a fantastic job. It’s a parallel service to what she’s providing already for the county,” said Supervisor Rusty Eddy. “It’s an additional workload that we have confidence she’ll be able to manage with some success. We’ve got a lot of confidence in her, and she’s the right person for the job.”

Kroeze has experience in zoning from previously working as a zoning and environmental health assistant for four and a half years in Floyd County.

A graduate of Greene high school, Kroeze studied to become a paralegal and worked in law offices until she took the position in Floyd. In 2012, she became Butler County’s Environmental Health Specialist.
