New Hartford royalty crowned

Years ago, Jade DeBuhr missed her chance to become Little Miss New Hartford. Her name was announced, but she and her mom were taking one last ride, and she missed the crowning ceremony. Now as a senior in high school, it was time for her to take home her long-awaited crown as Miss New Hartford 2018.

“It’s so great because I love New Hartford so much, and I grew up here,” DeBuhr said.

DeBuhr is involved in band and choir and is a cheerleader.

She also volunteers at her church. She plans to pursue a degree in psychology.

The gardens and the many great places for the community to gather are some of DeBuhr’s favorite aspects of the town.
