A-P Student arrested for threat on social media

An Aplington-Parkersburg student was arrested last night and is being held after allegedly posting a threatening picture and comment on social media relating to the high school.

According to a notification sent by the school to parents this morning, the student was acting alone and there is no threat to students today. Police will be present at all school buildings this morning.

"The school takes our student safety seriously and is working closely with law enforcement to insure a safe environment for all of our students today," the message said.
