A-P students build Santa House for holiday celebration

He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, and he’s coming to downtown Parkersburg to find out who’s been naughty or nice. That’s right, folks, Santa Claus is coming to town.

In preparation for his visit to Parkersburg, a group of A-P High School students in Brian Surratt’s building trades class have been working on building a house for the Jolly man himself.

Once the house is finished, it will be set up on the grassy lot by McDivitts in downtown Parkersburg, and will be used as part of the Parkersburg Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown in December celebration - where they will host a very special Santa visit at the house.

Downtown in December will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 3:30 to 8 p.m. in downtown Parkersburg.
