A-P students set to perform “Wizard of Oz”

Community members are invited to follow the yellow brick road over to the A-P High School Auditorium this weekend to attend the students’ performance of “The Wizard of Oz.”

Shows will be held on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m., Saturday, November 10 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, November 11 at 2 p.m. Admission is $5, and children 5 and under are free. A pre-show meal sponsored by the A-P Music Promoters will begin Friday at 5:30 p.m., and root beer floats will be available following all three shows.

Nearly 50 students are involved with the production, including the cast, set crew and band.

Amy Truax is coaching the students along with choir director Jeff Bieber, band director Thom Mahler, Kelly Eilderts on light and sound and Elisabeth Bieber on acting, blocking and make-up.
