Roads and insurance discussed by supervisors

At the Butler County Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12, partial self-funding for health insurance was approved, County Social Services, and citizen concerns about roads and cost-effectiveness in the courthouse were discussed.

Shane Schoneman was recognized upon his retirement from Butler County after 28 years of service in the Secondary Roads department. The supervisors wished him well in his retirement.

“Shane has been and continues to be one of the guys who does things right and is an example for the other guys to learn from,” said County Engineer John Riherd. “The younger guys have looked up to Shane over the years and ask him questions. He’s always been there on time to do it right.”
