Surfin’ Santa: At Home Aplington to host Christmas in July pool party

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (in July), and community members are invited to get into the holiday spirit with a “Christmas in July” pool party hosted by At Home Aplington.

The party will be held at the Aplington City Pool on Thursday, July 25th from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature swimming, games and activities for the whole family, and food - including Christmas cookies, of course.

Deb Prier, Aplington City Clerk and member of At Home Aplington, says the pool party will be a fun, family-friendly event that the whole community can enjoy.

“We wanted to have a little party and do something special for the kids,” Prier said. “We’ve got something for everyone; there will be friends, family, food and plenty of fun. We’ll have the pool decorated with Christmas lights, and we’re even hoping for a visit from Santa.”

Prier says At Home Aplington has some more fun events planned for the coming weeks, including a tractor ride and family movie night at the park.
