Two New Hartford babies bring in new year

WATERLOO – Two New Hartford families brought in the new year with the first babies of 2020 born at UnityPoint Allen Hospital and MercyOne Medical Center, both in Waterloo.
Emmy Lou Thompson helped her parents, Kelley McNamara and Mitchell Thompson, ring in the new year at 3:11 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Allen Hospital. Emmy Lou was four pounds, 13 ounces and 18 inches long.
About two and a half hours later, Haisley Jo Kellum was born at the Waterloo Medical Center, with parents Jamie and Mason Kellum welcoming Haisley to the world at 5:46 a.m., weighing five pounds, 13.3 ounces.
