All-NICL East Boys Basketball Team: Three area players unanimous first-team

Aplington-Parkersburg sophomore Jayden Mackie, A-P junior Josh Haan and Dike-New Hartford junior Dane Fuller are among the six unanimous first-team selections on this season's All-NICL East boys basketball teams.

A-P junior Owen Thomas and D-NH senior Derek Kinney earned second-team spots.

Wapsie Valley senior Kiks Rosengarten received the Player of the Year honor while A-P head coach Aaron Thomas was named the NICL East's top coach

In 16 division games this season, Mackie led the Falcons with 16.5 points per game and averaged 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds. Haan averaged 10.8 points and 7.8 rebounds.

Fuller averaged 16.9 points per division game for the Wolverines, adding 42 rebounds, 41 assists and 22 steals in 16 division games.

Denver juniors Bryce Phelps and Kyler Matthias, along with Rosengarten, were the other unanimous picks to the first team.

Owen Thomas scored 10.5 points per game in division play for the Falcons, Kinney chipped in an 8.3 scoring average for D-NH and added 6.4 rebounds per game.

A-P senior Riley Oberhauser and D-NH junior AJ Wegener received honorable mention.
