Aplington-Parkersburg boys golf advances to districts (PHOTOS)
PARKERSBURG – The hosting Aplington-Parkersburg boys golf team was one of three teams advancing to this Friday's district golf meet at Fox Ridge in Dike, finishing as the runner-up at Legend Trail last Friday.
Friday's district meet begins at 10 a.m. in Dike. The top two teams and top two individuals from non-qualifying teams (plus ties) will advance to the Class 2A state tournament.
The Falcons finished with a 357, 13 strokes behind winners Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. South Hamilton is the other team advancing to district play, shooting a 358. Dike-New Hartford finished nine strokes out of a qualifying spot, shooting a 367.
