Ceaglske teaches social studies at A-P

No day of teaching is ever the same, no class ever the same.

That’s what keeps Alexis Ceaglske engaged as a social studies teacher at Aplington-Parkersburg High School for the last six years.

A graduate of Independence High School, she pursued the teaching career path with the encouragement of her parents, getting her undergrad and graduate degree in history from the University of Northern Iowa, followed by a Master’s in social sciences.

Ceaglske taught at Dunkerton for six years in psychology, US history, government, economics and military history.

She started her first year of teaching at Aplington-Parkersburg in 2014.

“One of the biggest reasons I chose this school district was because I could teach both high school and college-level courses,” Ceaglske said.
