City of Parkersburg launches new and improved website

After about a year of planning and brainstorming, a modern, streamlined and mobile-friendly City of Parkersburg website went live earlier this week.

“When I came in, I knew right away that there needed to be a change. We’ve had the other one for a long time, and this website, in an effort to try to spotlight Parkersburg, this does that,” Parkersburg Economic Development Director Tim Cuvelier said. “It’s so much easier to use, so much better navigation. The graphics are tremendous, and we’ve got some great videos on there that really showcase who we are as a community.”

For visitors accustomed to the previous version of Parkersburgia. com, the new site may come as a bit of a shock: it’s eye-popping and decidedly 21st century in design, with more community links, job postings, school and safety alerts and business information. Residents can even pay their bills online.
