APLINGTON – The Aplington Community Club and @homeAplington have joined forces with the Easter Bunny to bring a variety of Easter-themed events in time for the holiday season later this month.

From March 27 until April 1, children ages 0-10 can work with family or friends to spot 12 oversized, individually-numbered "eggs" placed on yards in Aplington. The City of Aplington reminds egg hunters to not go onto the yards or touch the eggs. There will also be seven Aplington businesses that will "hide" special packages with filled eggs from the 27th to the 1st.

Hunters should make a written list of the 12 addresses and seven businesses that have the "hidden" eggs, add their name and phone number and either drop that list off to Aplington City Hall on or before Friday, April 2 or bring the list to City Park on Saturday, April 3 during Breakfast with the Bunny. Forms are also available on the Aplington Community Club's Facebook page.

On the subject of breakfast, the Easter Bunny is inviting children to enjoy bunny tails and carrot juice (donut holes and orange juice) at Aplington City Park from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 3. The prize drawing for egg hunt winners will follow breakfast – and even if you didn't find all the hidden eggs, you can still submit your name for the drawings.
