Ida Frey, 102, of Cedar Falls, entered her heavenly home on Fri., Aug. 29, 2025, at Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls. She was born on Nov. 28, 1922, in Ackley, the daughter of Jerry and Ramie (Johnson) Rewerts. On Feb. 8, 1946, she married John Frey of Aplington. Together they shared a lifetime of ministry, serving Reformed Churches in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Zilen of Chattanooga, TN; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 siblings and their spouses; daughter, Kathy and her husband; and 1 nephew.
