Jason Ronald Brocka, 45

Jason Ronald Brocka, age 45, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the son of Ronald Lee and Joyce Lavone (Mennen) Brocka, on December 23, 1979, in Waterloo, Iowa. In his youth, Jason attended Sunday School. As a teenager, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the First Congregational Church in Parkersburg. Jason graduated from Aplington-Parkersburg High School in 1998. After graduating, he attended Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, for mechanics.
Jason lived in Parkersburg all his life. Through the years, he worked at J&L Engines and Wix Water in Allison, Iowa. Jason’s primary occupation was farming. He also started two very successful businesses, Iowa Central Bin Builders and Iowa Hay Solutions.
Jason loved fishing up north and working on vehicles for the Figure 8 Races which were held in Allison. He, along with his friends, enjoyed detailing and rebuilding tractors. Jason had a special companion in his dog, Buck.
Jason died on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his home in rural Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Brocka; and a special friend, Kelly Arjes.
Jason is survived by his father, Ronald Brocka of Parkersburg; a brother, Randy (Kim) Brocka of Parkersburg; a sister, Renise (Bryan) Frey of Ackley; seven nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews, many aunts & uncles; and his special friend, Kelly’s parents, Kenny and Judy Arjes.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2025, at the First Congregational Church in Parkersburg, with Pastor B.J. Humphrey and Pastor Brian Koelsch officiating. Randy Brocka was the pianist, and he accompanied the congregation as they sang “Till The Storm Passes By” and “Jesus Loves Me”. Special music was provided by Randy Brocka as he played “The King Is Coming” and Jason’s nieces and nephews sang “Amazing Grace”. The burial was held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg with Jason Klinkenborg, Willy Haan, Will McCord, Jordan Green, Brad Feckers and Riley Brocka serving as Casketbearers. The Honorary Casketbearer was Randy Bohlen.
Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, at the Redman Funeral & Cremation Services – Parkersburg Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church.
