Mid-America Publishing welcomes Molly Kahler as a new edition to the staff at several area papers. Kahler, formerly with Arthur Davis Publishing in Cedar Falls, has taken over the position of Marketing Representative for the Eclipse News-Review, Butler County Tribune, and the Clarksville Star. With 12 years of experience in the field at her previous company, she hopes to be a valued asset to the teams in each location, and begin building relationships for the future.

In addition to her work with Arthur Davis, Kahler has also been on the Board of Directors for the Sturgis Falls Committee for the last 15 years, and has implemented many campaigns in her time for community outreach and events. For Kahler, coming to Mid-America Publishing is a tremendous opportunity for her to use her long history of print advertising in partnership with her community as she and her family are residents of Parkersburg, where the Eclipse office resides.

“I’m very excited to join the Mid-America Publishing team,” Kahler explained in regards to her new role. “Now I get to use my background in print advertising without having to commute. I’m looking forward to working with a lot of people that I already know and have been neighbors with for many years.”

Kahler and her husband, Shane, have three daughters, Meghan, age 19, Lydia, age 9, and Lucy age 6, and have lived in Parkersburg since 2006. Kahler said that some of her hobbies include singing, playing the violin, and cooking. She’s an avid foodie, and derives a lot of joy out being around and discussing food.

“I will talk about food all day every day,” Kahler said with a laugh. “It is something that I really enjoy doing. I love to cook, and I love doing all of the fun stuff that revolves around that.”

In her first few months, Kahler hopes to use her expertise in the industry to continue to build upon the solid relationships she has previously developed in the area, and the new ones she has already fostered. Because she is a resident of Parkersburg, Kahler mentioned that it feels as though many of her contacts are friends.

“It has been so much fun to call and say hello to the various business owners and let them know I will be their account executive,” Kahler explained. “I’m very proud to be a part of this community because we’ve been here for so long, and gotten to know so many wonderful people over the years.”

Kahler says she is looking forward to the next chapter of her career, and has already hit the ground running, spearheading along and already making her plans for 2021. But, for her, the connections in the area are what makes the job so refreshing.

“It is a blessing to be a part of a community like this,” Kahler said.  “One that that really stands behind one another. Everyone has each other’s backs. It’s almost like a way of giving back to the community that has embraced us for so long.”
