LTE: Report elder abuse crimes

On June 15, 2022, during World Elder Abuse Awareness Week in Iowa, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law Senate File 522 which criminalizes elder abuse.

​Recently, this legislation was unanimously passed by all members of both the House and Senate in the 2022 session.

​Please be a responsible person and report to Eldercare Locator by phone 1-800-677-1116 or call 911 for any abuse you are aware of that is happening to a senior citizen.
