MidWestOne distributes funds to three local organizations
PARKERSBURG- Throughout the year, MidWestOne Bank employees have contributed $10 a week for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays. Now that 2019 is coming to an end, they’re giving that money back in the form of donations totaling over $900 to three local organizations as voted on by the community.
This year’s recipients are Butler County Visions of Wellbeing, the Student Connection youth ministry in Aplington and the Kothe Memorial Library in Parkersburg.
“We wanted to do something positive and productive for the community and to let the community vote on it. Obviously, there’s a need,” MidWestOne retail manager Deb Kalkwarf said. “Three great organizations have benefited from that.”
