Mitchell Dean Dralle, 51

Mitchell Dean Dralle, 51, of Parkersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his home. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2024, at Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Mitchell will be laid to rest in the Allison Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home of Allison is caring for Mitchell and his family.

Mitchell was born May 26, 1973, in Tama County, son of Richard and Sharon (Ulfers) Dralle. He graduated from Allison-Bristow High School, class of 1991. Mitchell furthered his education at the University of Iowa, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation. 

Mitchell was a dedicated custodian and bus driver at the Aplington-Parkersburg School District, actively participating in A-P Athletics by managing the score clock for both football and basketball games, reflecting his deep pride in the school and commitment to its community.

Mitchell was an Eagle Scout and a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Allison, with a vibrant personality reflected in his love for bright colors, as seen in his Harley Davidson motorcycle and even his shoes. He was passionate about sports, proudly supporting the Dallas Cowboys and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mitchell is survived by his father: Richard Dralle of Parkersburg; sister: Michelle Dralle of Iowa City; brother: Michael (Robbin) Dralle of Oakbrook, IL; nephew: RJ (Kathleen) Dralle of Chicago, IL; niece: Sydney (Kevin) Ledford of Decatur, TN and their daughter Rooney; aunts and uncles: Kenny (Donis) Dralle of Allison, Marlys (Gary) Lumley of Urbandale, Diane (Jim) VanZetten of Grand Rapids, MI, Milton (Marilyn) Ulfers of Allison and Harvey (Jane) Ulfers of Waterloo; along with several cousins, coworkers and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Sharon Dralle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aplington-Parkersburg Athletics Program.
