Kaitlyn Mohwinkle and Carlee Dove were among a record 264 winners of the Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award winners announced by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference last week.

The honor, named for the late NCAA President Dr. Myles Brand, is bestowed to NSIC student-athletes who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, are exhausting their eligibility and are on track to graduate (student-athletes can only earn the award once). Each student receives a certificate of achievement and a wristwatch.

Mohwinkle and Dove both compete as part of Upper Iowa’s women’s volleyball team. Mohwinkle is an Aplington-Parkersburg alum and Aplington native studying Physical Education. Carlee Dove is a Dike-New Hartford alum and New Hartford native completing her studies in Art Education/Graphic Design.
