PARKERSBURG – Aplington-Parkersburg and Dike-New Hartford schools will be competing this week to see which school can bring the most dry goods to donate to each school's respective food pantry.

Donations can be made at Friday's football game at Ed Thomas Field in Parkersburg; items to bring can include toilet paper, paper towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial tissue, dish and hand soaps, feminine products and other household goods and toiletries.

Businesses or persons may also make monetary donations, payable to the Aplington-Parkersburg School District, which are due to the school office by Thursday at 3 p.m. – A-P FFA will use these funds to shop for dry goods to donate to the cause.

The winner will be announced at halftime of Friday's A-P/D-NH football game at Ed Thomas Field.
