Sister Style brings boutique, consignment shopping to downtown Parkersburg

The newest addition to Parkersburg’s downtown district – Sister Style – brings a unique fusion of new and used women’s and children’s clothing, as well as school spirit wear, and home décor items to shoppers in the area.

Owners Mandi Jorgenson, Jen Troyna and Lisa Ellis have set up shop in the former Diva’s Closet storefront, located at 211 3rd Street in Parkersburg, and opened their doors to the public about two weeks ago. On Friday, they held their grand opening and ribbon cutting event.

“We’ve had a lot of people in so far,” Jorgenson said. “I think people are kind of curious about the shop, and we’ve had a lot of people tell us they’re glad something is here. We’ve gotten so much support from the community.”

Troyna says the idea for Sister Style came to her and Jorgenson (who are sisters) about a year ago.

“Mandi and I are consignment junkies; we always have been,” Troyna said.

So the pair decided to start www.sisterstyleshop.com, an online consignment boutique where they sell gently-used women’s clothing online and ship it out to shoppers across the U.S.
