Kaden’s Kloset Aplington offers clothing, supplies for families

Something as simple as a new winter coat, a pair of mittens or some new boots can bring a smile to a child’s face, and for families in need, Kaden’s Kloset in Aplington is there to help with that.

For about a year now, Shelli Caquelin - owner and operator of Little Learners Childcare on Parriott Street - has been operating the free clothing closet out of her daycare center.

Kaden’s Kloset is an organization that provides clothing and other supplies to foster care children. There are locations across the state, and the site in Aplington is just one of many.

“It all started because I had a child at my daycare named Kaden, and his mother, Kristle Davis [founder of Kaden’s Kloset], asked me if I wanted to have a site at my daycare,” Caquelin said. “So, I said of course.
