Jeremiah “Mia” Lynn Freeseman, 45

Jeremiah “Mia” Lynn Freeseman, age 45, of Aplington, Iowa, was born on July 7, 1979, in Iowa City, Iowa.  He graduated from State Center High School in 1997.

Jeremiah was united in marriage with Brenda Jo Randall at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, Missouri.  After their marriage, the couple lived in Parkersburg.  Jeremiah and Brenda were blessed with four children.  Recently, the couple moved to Aplington.  Jeremiah worked for 15 years as an auto mechanic at Aikey’s Auto Salvage in Waterloo.

Jeremiah enjoyed working on automobiles and electronics.  He also liked doing construction on his home.  Jeremiah loved his family, and he especially enjoyed playing with his grandson.

Jeremiah died on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, in Grundy Center, Iowa, of complications of cancer.  Jeremiah was preceded in death by one daughter, Alexis Jade; one brother, Duane Huisman and his stepfather, Enrique Jimenez. 

Jeremiah is survived by his wife, Brenda Miller of Aplington; three children, Samantha Freeseman and Brady Freeseman both of Aplington and Christa Freeseman of Waterloo; a grandson, Elias French; his mother, Judith Freeseman of Bethany, Missouri; and two brothers, Doug (Billie Jo) Epperson and Darrel Epperson both of New Hampton, Missouri.

Graveside Services were held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Reformed Church Cemetery in rural Holland, Iowa.  Pastor Rick Vollema officiated the service.  The Honorary Urnbearer was Elias French.

Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at the Redman Funeral & Cremation Services – Parkersburg Funeral Home.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.redmanfuneral.com
