Carrie Lorraine Bergman, 101

Carrie Lorraine Bergman, age 101, of Dike, Iowa, was born the daughter of Harm and Dena (Miller) Rademaker on February 29, 1924, in rural Stout, Iowa.

On February 26, 1947, Carrie married William Charles Bergman at the Stout Reformed Church in Stout, Iowa. In 1958, William and Carrie moved to rural Dike, Iowa, living and farming there throughout their marriage. After the passing of her husband, William, on June 23, 2012, Carrie moved to the town of Dike and lived there until moving to Arlington Assisted Living Center in Grundy Center.

Carrie quickly became “Aunt Carrie” to everyone who knew her. Carrie was a long-time member of the Stout Reformed Church. Carrie loved to sing church hymns and recite Bible verses to anyone who would lend an ear. Carrie loved and missed her parents, Harm and Dena immensely, talking and reminiscing about them daily. Carrie longed to be with her parents, her brother, Harold Rademaker and her sister, Lois Buskohl and Kendall Buskohl, and now her wish has come true.  She is in her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Carrie was always assisting William with all of their farming and livelihood activities. If you saw William, you would see Carrie. They did everything together throughout their marriage. Carrie enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and mending not only for them, but for anyone and everyone who would ask. Carrie’s ministry was serving others, living as Christ lived.

Carrie is survived by one son, Brian of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren, Brianna, William & Katherine, children of Brian; five great grandchildren all in Wichita. Shannon Textor and Matt Buskohl and their respective children. Shannon and Matt are children of Kendall and Jan Buskohl of Dike, Iowa, nieces and many friends.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday August 22, 2025, at the Reformed Church of Stout Cemetery in Stout, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.redmanfuneral.com
