DIKE – The 1,000th career victory for Dike-New Hartford head coach Diane Harms was among the highlights for another successful week for D-NH volleyball in the home gym last week.

The Wolverines swept Humboldt during Saturday’s home tournament for Harms’ 1,000th career victory. She’s in her 20th season of coaching with the Wolverines and started her head coaching career at Charles City. The Wolverines have made 15 state tournament appearances in that time and won eight state titles.

D-NH didn’t drop a set on Saturday with 2-0 wins in pool play against Osage, Dunkerton and Humboldt, a sweep of Center Point-Urbana in the semifinals and a championship victory over Osage, 25-14, 25-15, to improve to 22-1 overall.

The Wolverines are once again ranked No. 1 in Class 2A this week. Osage is rated ninth in Class 3A, Dunkerton 14th in Class 1A, Humboldt 14th in Class 4A.

Earlier in the week, D-NH swept 2A No. 5 Denver in NICL Central action, 25-17, 25-13, 25-20.
