DMACC's Ellis on all-region team

Des Moines Area Community College sophomore Dylan Ellis was named to the NJCAA PING Division II All-Region Team, as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the 2019-20 season.

Ellis is a graduate of Aplington-Parkersburg High School.

The Bears, like all junior colleges and colleges in the country, had their spring schedules canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

During the fall season, DMACC won the team championship in the NJCAA Region XI Fall Preview last October at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside, one of three team titles for the Bears in the fall schedule. Ellis averaged 74.4 strokes per 18-hole round in the fall.

As a freshman, Ellis finished in a tie for 86th place at the Division II national championship at Plymouth, Indiana.
