Frevert retires after 46 years


Craig Frevert was in attendance at the Board of Supervisors to announce his retirement after 46 years of service. Frevert, from Greene, has worked in the county secondary roads department as a motor grader operator. His official retirement date will be June 21.

During the weekly Butler County Supervisor’s meeting on Tuesday, June 15, Craig Frevert was in attendance to announce his retirement after 46 years of service. Frevert, from Greene, has worked in the county secondary roads department as a motor grader operator. His official retirement date will be June 21.

John Riherd, county engineer, commented on Frevert, “He has seen a lot changes throughout the years. He was very particular about his work and was just a class act.”

Additionally, Jennifer Becker from the Public Health department proposed that a new Public Health building be constructed using funds from the American Rescue Act. According to the plan, Butler County is set to receive $2.8 million. The board decided to table the 28E Agreements for the NEI3A, Butler County Visions of Wellbeing, and Crisis Intervention Services. Lastly, the following Class B Beer Permits were approved: Backpocket Brewing, LLC from July 27 – July 28; Dumont Fire Department during Dumont Sandbaggin Days, July 8. Backpocket Brewing will be in New Hartford during RAGBRAI.
