Grace “Gigi” Sutula Theobald

Grace “Gigi” Sutula Theobald was born September 24, 1961, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Joseph and Joan (Luttrell) Sutula. Gigi attended Cedar Falls High before graduating from University of Dubuque. As a sled dog enthusiast and a vibrant member of the Siberian Husky community, she touched many lives with her passion for dogs and caring for those around her. Having previously worked as an educator, as well as frequently breeding and showing huskies, Gigi also worked at Highview Veterinary in Parkersburg and Heartland Windows in Aplington. Always giving words of encouragement and wisdom, Gigi was an integral part of her church community.

 

Gigi passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, of natural causes. She is preceded in deaht by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by sisters Deb White and Cindi (Dale) Hendrickson of Cedar Falls, her brother Jon (Kathy) Sutula of Omaha Nebraska, and an extensive loving family of nieces, nephews, and an even bigger community of animals.

 

Gigi’s family is grateful to everyone that helped provide loving homes for her animals and will hold a memorial service Saturday, September 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Aplington with a visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family or the https://homewardbownd.org/ Husky Rescue Organization.
