Ingalls recognized for service
Vern Ingalls (right) was recognized and presented a plaque for his 49 years of service on the Parkersburg Planning and Zoning Board. Vern began his term of service on the Board on February 1, 1972. Nearly every subdivision, annexation, housing and building development east of Johnson Street in Parkersburg was seen and approved by Vern as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board. These included the creation of the Parkersburg Business and Industrial Park, the Tuve-Klinkenborg Addition, the Meadowbrook Addition, and the Legend Trail Development, to name a few. Vern was thanked for his dedication, commitment to the community, and for doing his part in continually promoting Parkersburg’s growth and development over the years.
