Local donor group gives back after successful sale

“From Our Hearts to Yours,” a donation group based out of New Hartford, was able to make significant donations to the Ronald McDonald House and Hope Lodge in Iowa City through proceeds generated at a recent craft/bake sale in New Hartford.

Melody Moody, the group’s coordinator, said “From Our Hearts to Yours” sold enough baked goods and crafts to purchase 16 food gift cards each for the two charities, as well as some bulk foods.

Carolyn M. and Carolyn O. were scheduled to make a delivery of the food cards, and boxes of foodstuffs, pillows, hats and other items to the charities in Iowa City on Thursday, May 5.

The group expressed gratitude for the community’s generous donations. They are planning a community garage sale in New Hartford on June 11 for the same charities, with further details to come, as well as participating in another planned craft/bake sale in November.
