Abby Berends

Sponsor: Mane Station

Abby is the daughter of Randy and Linda Berends.  At school, she is involved in band, color guard, FFA and the National Honor Society. Abby is also involved in 4-H. Her volunteer work includes helping with the Avenue of Flags and assisting with her church Vacation Bible School. Abby plans to attend a four year college with a major in an agriculture-related area.

 

Cassi Brouwer

Sponsor: Parkersburg Hardware

Cassi is the daughter of Mike and Monica Brouwer. At school, she is involved in cross country, soccer, National Honors Society, Students Against Drunk Driving, is a basketball manager and is a member of the prom steering committee.  Her volunteer work includes working at the food bank, helping at the UMC food stand at the Butler County Fair, assisting at the ARC Fish Fry, and volunteering at her church. Cassi’s plans are to attend Hawkeye Community College.

 

Kaitlin Cuvelier

Kaitlin is the daughter of Tim and Shelli Cuvelier.  Her school activities include volleyball, cross country, basketball, tennis, yearbook, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and serving on the prom steering committee. Kaitlin is also a lifeguard and is involved in church mission trips. Her volunteer work includes helping at the food pantry, Vacation Bible School, involvement in the GLOW youth group, and being a counselor at Camp Koinonia. Kaitlin plans to attend a two year school for dental hygiene.

 

Madison Derifield-Williams

Madison is the daughter of Abby and Chris Copp and Erin and Aaron Williams. Abby’s school activities include dance, cheer, track, theater, large group and individual speech, honor roll and year book. Her volunteer activities include helping with RAGBRAI and mother/son and father/daughter dances. Madison plans to attend the University of Iowa and attain a medical degree.     

 

Allie Egloff

Allie is the daughter of Joe and Katie Egloff. Her school activities include drill team, football cheer, basketball cheer and the National Honor Society.  Allie wants to become a high school math teacher.

 

Elena Mulder

Sponsor: Campbell-Mellema Insurance and Real Estate Agency

Elena is the daughter of Gaylen and Carla Mulder.  Her school activities include student government, Honor Society, FFA, large group and individual speech, choir, musicals and the spring play. She has also participated in the raising and lowering of flags at the Veterans Building, caroling at area nursing homes and performing special music for local churches. She has volunteered as a VBS teacher, a praise team member at her church and has been involved in the Global Leadership Summit.  Elena plans to attend Iowa State University with a major in child, family and adult services.

 

Laynee Orent

Sponsor: Brothers Market

Laynee is the daughter of Josh and Jessica Bertram and Josh Orent. Her school activities include wrestling, robotics and the Cyber Patriot program. She has also been involved in American Legion Auxiliary Girls State. Her volunteer activities include participation in the Avenue of Flags and the Dirty Bird Wrestling Tournament. Laynee plans to attend college to study elementary education.
