Paul Lee Card, 64

Paul Lee Card, age 64, passed away on December 17, 2022, from multiple health issues at Aspire Nursing and Rehabilitation in Muscatine, Iowa. 

Paul was born on June 28, 1958, to Clarence “Bud” and Gloria (Hersey) Card in Waverly, Iowa. Paul graduated from New Hartford High School in 1977.

Paul worked at various jobs until his mental health issues prevented him from further employment. In his spare time, Paul loved to go fishing. 

Paul is survived by two brothers, John  (LaVonne) Card of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Allen (Betty) Card of Austinville, Iowa; and one nephew, Chris Greenwell of West Valley City, Utah.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Gloria Card; his brother, Floyd Card; and one niece, LaCosta Gifford. 

Special thanks to Aunt Betty Ehmen (deceased) for her advocacy in getting Paul the appropriate mental health resources. Also special thanks to cousin Marsha Hook for her letters to Paul all these years.

A Private Graveside Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Ben Epley officiating.
