ACKLEY – Aplington-Parkersburg/Grundy Center wrestling wrapped the 2020 portion of the schedule with two dual losses to Wapsie Valley and AGWSR at AGWSR High School last Tuesday.

A-P/GC winners on Tuesday in the dual with Wapsie Valley were Nick Johnson by tech fall at 170, Trent Cakerice with a pin at 182 and Nile Petersen by forfeit at 195. Falcon winners against AGWSR were Kolby Muller by forfeit at heavyweight, and Cadyen Shepard and Justin Knaack by fall at 126 and 132, respectively.

A-P/GC returns to action on Jan. 7 at Sumner-Fredericksburg against the Cougars and Waterloo Columbus.

DIKE – D-NH hosted North Butler-Clarksville, Sumner-Fredericksburg and West Marshall for a 2020-ending quadrangular at D-NH High School last Tuesday.

The Wolverines defeated NB-C, 42-30 and bested Sumner-Fred, 48-36, but lost to West Marshall, 60-24.

Head-to-head D-NH winners against NB-C included Nick Reinicke (160), Zach Adelmund (170), Cole Graves (182), Isaac Carpentier (220) and Walker Weedman (132).

Against the Cougars, Weedman, Reinicke, Graves, Adelmund, Carpentier and Dylan Ohrt (126) logged head-to-head wins.

Finally, against the Trojans, Reinicke, Carpentier, Ohrt and Weedman picked up victories for the Wolverines, all by pinfall.

D-NH returns to action at Hudson on Jan. 7 against the Pirates and AGWSR.
