Aplington-Parkersburg junior Gavin Thomas set a new school record for 3-pointers made in a career during last Tuesday’s game at Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
Thomas hit four 3-pointers to improve his career total to 148, surpassing the old record held by his father and A-P head coach Aaron Thomas, who hit 146 three-pointers in his career with the Falcons.
Gavin added two more three-pointers in Friday’s win against Wapsie Valley and improved his season average to 47.9 percent (45-of-94) from long range, leading the Falcons in 3-pointers made.
