Schuck, Bernard honored for service

Harlan Schuck and Perry Bernard were thanked for many years of service to the City of Parkersburg at last Monday’s regular meeting. 

 

Schuck was appointed to the Parkersburg City Council on December 5, 1988 until December 30, 2013. He was reappointed to the Parkersburg City Council unanimously on March 16, 2015 until December 31, 2021. Schuck served on the City Council nearly a combined 32 years while also being a part of his local church and serving in other volunteer capacities in Parkersburg. 

 

Bernard was appointed to the Parkersburg City Council on June 1, 2009. Perry took office as Mayor of Parkersburg shortly thereafter on January 1, 2010. Perry served as Mayor until December 30, 2013. He then took office as Mayor again on February 17, 2015 after winning a special election. Bernard’s term of service ended on December 31, 2021 after serving the citizens of Parkersburg over 11 years.
