Semi accident in Butler County

The Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident with a semi truck in the 20-thousand block of 270th Street, northeast of Aplington.

Bradley Rindels, 52, of Bristow was driving westbound pulling a grain trailer on 270th, possibly suffered a medical issue, and crossed the eastbound lane going into the south ditch.

The semi vaulted off the ditch and struck a power pole before coming to rest in a field.

Rindels was transported by Allison Ambulance to the hospital in Waverly for treatment.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Butler County Sheriff’s office, Allison Ambulance and Butler County REC.
