PARKERSBURG – Downtown coffee destination Sip n Shop, 225 3rd Street in Parkersburg, served its final brew on Saturday, July 23.

The business announced on Facebook on July 19 that it would be closing its doors as owner Colleen Martindale prepares to move to Florida.

We are taking a leap of faith and moving from the area,” the Facebook post read. “We have so loved to have been able to serve all of you, and to get to know you! … Thank you so very much for supporting my dream, it has truly been a pleasure and blessing for me!”

Martindale operated the Falcon’s Nest sandwich shop, in the location where Windy Ridge Home Base is now located, next door to Sip N Shop beginning in 2016. She ran Sip N Shop, in the location that was formerly Papenshack’s Porch, simultaneously until closing the Falcon’s Nest permanently in February 2020.
