Tommy Meeks Jr., 33

Tommy Meeks Jr., age 33, of Aplington, Iowa, was born son of Tommy Meeks Sr. and Elizabeth Elaine Schaedig on May 19, 1992, in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2010, Tommy graduated from Aplington Parkersburg High School.
On June 11, 2016, Tommy was united in marriage to Aleisha Feldman. To this union, two sons were born, Isaiah and Milo Meeks. They lived in Sheffield, Iowa, where Tommy worked at Sukup, before later moving back to Parkersburg. The couple later divorced. Tommy moved to Aplington and was employed at Simon Concrete.
Tommy was the kind of person everyone hopes to have in their life- a loyal friend, devoted father who always showed up, and a caring partner. He always had a way to make people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Tommy had the best smile and a contagious laugh. To know him or spend time around him was truly a blessing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and playing video games, but his greatest joy was spending time with his boys.
Tommy passed away in his home in Aplington, Monday, March 9, 2026. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Mary Christine Meeks.
Tommy is survived by, his mother, Elizabeth Schaedig, of Aplington; his father, Tommy Meeks Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Isaiah and Milo Meeks, two brothers; Terrance (Shanelle Lewis) Meeks of Aplington and Te’Rel LaMay of Des Moines; two sisters, Christine Meeks of Denver, Colorado and Kaitlin (Jay Medina) Meeks of Denver, Colorado; grandparents, Paul and Eileen Schaedig, of Waverly, Iowa; his Loving girlfriend, Cameron Roth of Aplington, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Legend Trails Clubhouse, Parkersburg, Iowa.
