Troyna top 20 in shot put

CEDAR FALLS – Aplington-Parkersburg’s Carson Troyna started the track and field season with a 20th-place finish in the boys shot put as part of the Dickinson Relays at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls last Tuesday.

In an event with 175 total participants, Troyna, a junior, landed a 46 foot, 2 inch throw for his best toss of the day. Austin Busch of South Hamilton won the event with a top throw of 59 feet, 2.5 inches.
