Jason Diekman
Jason Lee Diekman, age 47, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the son of Jules Milo and Annie Mae (Uhlenhopp) Diekman on December 21, 1973, in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated from the Parkersburg High School in 1992. In 1997 Jason attend Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo for electronics. For many years he was a care giver for his parents.
Jason worked at NCM Incorporated in Grundy Center as a Quality Inspector for nearly 15 years. In 2008 Jason met Mary Rogers and they have been together ever since. Jason was a good friend to many, very caring and always there to help.
Through the years he has always loved Rock music. Jason taught himself the guitar and could pick up and play most songs. He composed his own music and made an original recording combining with his vocals, playing the various guitar parts and drums. He also played in a local band and enjoyed going to a couple rock concerts with Mary.
Jason enjoyed cooking, baking and grilling. Often you would find him hanging out at their burn pit playing guitar and spending time with family and friends. Jason had a special place in his heart for his fur babies, a dog Harley and a cat Ginger.
On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Jason passed away at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa, of natural causes, under the care of Care Initiative Hospice. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Diekman, a nephew, Derek Diekman, and a niece, Desiree Diekman.
Jason is survived by a special friend, Mary Rogers of Grundy Center; father, Jules Diekman of Parkersburg, two brothers, Dennis (Sheila) Diekman of Springville, IA and Gary (Angie) Diekman of Owatonna, MN; one sister, Deborah (Mark) Neubauer of Iowa Falls; 7 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
